It was not very windy tonight, but we did manage to get in a couple of
races. It was kind of nice to get out in the Butterfly again. I don’t think
I’ve sailed it since early in June. Kurt Sims and Tom Jones sailed Kurt’s
Buccaneer 18, and Bill Jones was single handing his Venture 21. Winds were
between 3 and 5 mph, which was just enough to take the edge off of the heat on
shore. We started seeing lightning to the South after the second race, so it
seemed best to head for shore after 2 races. We never did get the rain, but the
wind did go away just about the time my bow hit the beach. Perfect.
